Discrimination and Title IX Compliance

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a Federal Law prohibiting discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance. Title IX covers all programs of a college or school that receives financial assistance academics, extracurricular and athletics. Students with inquiries concerning compliance not associated with intercollegiate athletics should be directed to Donald C. Title IX inquiries related to intercollegiate athletics should be directed to Kathleen Hickey, Associate Director of Athletics for Student Services and Compliance at (732) 445-7899 or khickey@scarletknights.com. Employees with Title IX questions should contact Jayne Grandes, Director of Employment Equity at 732-932-3020 or grandes@rutgers.edu.
